Highpoint FAQs
Where does Highpoint Meet?
We meet at 6000 Briarcrest Avenue (Memphis 38120) in Briarcrest Christian School. But don't worry, you're not gonna be sitting in folding chairs in a gym. We have a very nicely appointed auditorium that much more than adequately suits our weekly needs. Our location is conveniently located on the corner of I-240 and Poplar allowing Highpoint attendees to drive in from over 50 different zip codes!
What time does it start?
We have two services every Sunday - 9:00 & 10:45. We encourage you to get to the campus early to park and enjoy a cup of coffee before your service or class. We also encourage families to show up a bit earlier in order to check the kiddos into our Highpoint Kids Ministry.
How long does the service last?
Our services are designed to be between 75 and 80 minutes. We are privileged to have excellent music worship, videos, baptisms, messages and special elements almost every single week! We understand that your time is precious, so we desire to fit everything we can into that time slot.
Do my kids sit with me in the service?
Your children are more than welcome to join you in the services, but we just want you to know that one of the things we are most proud of is our Highpoint Kids Ministry. Unapologetically, we believe we have the best Children's Ministry Program in town. Our only fear of your kids sitting in the service is that they'd miss the time of their lives in HPKids!
What denomination is Highpoint?
Highpoint Church is Non-Denominational. Unfortunately, this could mean a lot of things these days, so we've taken time to put together a Detailed Page Regarding Our Beliefs
Do I have to dress up/What do I wear?
Wear whatever you want. The majority of our congregation dresses pretty casual - Lots of jeans! Our only request regarding dress is that it would be modest - as not to distract from our worship time.
"The dress code for our worship team is - wear anything you want as long as you can raise your hands all the way to the sky in surrender to God, or get down on your knees - bowing low before our King!" - Josh Maze | Lead Worshipper
Who preaches the sermons - the teaching pastor or the lead pastor?
We at Highpoint have a special dynamic that very few churches in the nation have. We have a lead pastor and a teaching pastor who not only share the "pulpit," but believe in an support each other wholehearted. We operate in series at Highpoint. These series may be topical like A Ridiculous Idea Called Marriageor exegetical like Wholehearted (A series on the book of Joshua). Series will run anywhere from 4-9 weeks. Typically, our lead pastor, Chris Conlee and our teaching pastor, Andy Savage will alternate series.
What does Highpoint believe?
Because this is so important to us, we've taken time to put together a Detailed Page Regarding Our Beliefs.
How can I contribute?
Instead of passing the plate in our services, we have collection boxes at every entrance to the auditorium for tithes and offerings. We also have online giving. Give online now.
